What do you do when you want to reach out to God, but your heart is agony? Maybe your praying for healing for yourself or for a loved one that is extremely ill. Or perhaps the unthinkable, your prayer request for a full healing went unanswered. This is a place of agony and complete brokeness in your heart. Your heart is painfully shattered in pieces, and you feel nothing but darkness around you. Possibly even your faith has been shaken to the core. The pain of the heart crying out is so intense that it is no longer just emotional, but it is physical and tangible. This is the place of inner turmoil and agony that I wish on no one. Back in 2007, when God started my spiritual warfare ministry (notice how I phrased that), I had no idea what deliverance ministry was. Long story short (covered in A Field Guide to Spiritual Warfare - the Power to PULL the IMPOSSIBLE from the HEAVENLY REALMS ), I found myself several months later on the streets of San Francisco, doing homeless ministry, through Bob Johnson's City Ministries, Night Strike on Friday nights. My very first night on a Night Strike, I was in the Tenderloin with my team, led by husband and wife, Wayne and Diane. Also on our small team were, Matthew (aka Hollywood) whom would stay on with me later as a key Night Strike member, and Mark, who was the youth pastor, from Harvest Christian Church (but has since moved on). On the streets, we encountered a homeless woman, I handed her some warm soup and started talking with her. I asked her if she would like for me to pray with her. She took a sip of her soup and replied, "Oh, sure. That would be nice....

Last November I had the pleasure to be interviewed on Laura Maxwell's radio show - The Supernatural on Eternal Radio. Laura has an incredible ministry of reaching New Agers and spiritualists with the Gospel. I was interviewed for a Halloween show on the subject of Ritual Abuse and Mind Control. I have had the incredible opportunity this year to be a guest on several radio shows. I noticed a trend while doing these radio shows that most people were inquiring more about Jesus and His background than asking me about spiritual warfare questions. Was Jesus God incarnate? The quick answer is yes. And the long answer is I can write volumes on this theology. But if I do that I will put you to sleep, or I will lose you altogether. I had some one-on-one time with Jesus in my car, during my commute, about how to answer this question. Was Jesus God incarnate, or just a man? As I had this commute conversation with Jesus (called mental prayer), the interior discussion led to wrapping my thoughts around the theology of the virgin birth of Jesus. As a Christian counselor in the San Francisco Bay area, I have the pleasure of working with people who survived childhood trauma.  In counseling sessions, we work on inner healing to help heal the part of the soul that was wounded or in more severe cases fractured into multiple identities in consciousness. During these sessions, Jesus Christ is the one who brings healing to the wounded soul. My job as a counselor and spiritual director is to work with these souls and identities connect with Jesus. From these sessions, I have observed a growing trend where souls are not able to connect with the indwelling Jesus. Why I find this startling is because a lot of these souls are people I worked with at one point or another in evangelistic outreach ministries. This observation was curious to me that these souls could do prophetic ministry and yet not hear God for themselves. How is that these people could hear from God for others, but not connect with God at all on a very subtle level?...

PART I - Working with Survivors of the Occult and Severe Trauma A CRASH COURSE On Saturday, March 5, at the Bay Area Sunday School Convention (2016),  M16 Ministries and In the Potter's Hands Christian Counseling put on a crash course in working with survivors of the occult (ritual abuse) and severe trauma. Toni Taigen of In the Potter's Hands, and myself, usually have a 2 hour presentation each on the subject matter, and that's barely the tip of the ice berg. AT B.A.S.S., we each spoke for about 15 minutes to drive the point home on the topic. And afterwards we had a 45 minute Q & A Session. This past week I had the absolute pleasure to minister with some awesome men of God, from New Hope Evangelical, from Orange City, Iowa. George and Eric Rankin led the team, including Eric's teenage son, William, Joel Leusink, Effiong Bassey, and yours truly. It was an incredible group of men and there was some great Holy Spirit synergy during the prayer sessions we had. Thank you gentlemen for inviting me out to minister with you. We stayed at a facility in Haiti, at the United Christian's International , run by Pastor Jean Jean (pronounced Jon Jon)  and his wife, Christie. As I was shooting video for the VBLOG today I came across old video on the camera sandisk that was shot last Spring. Pastor Jimi Merrell and I put on a Prophetic Bootcamp - a 4 hour crash course in prophetic ministry. Here is an excerpt on that class. One of my favorite days of doing ministry is always on Friday the 13th. For most people it is a taboo day of self-expectant bad luck. I love this day because God loves to mock taboo especially Friday the 13th. God seems to really cut loose on this cyclic calendar date. For some time I had been praying to be released into sending Night Strike teams back into the Mission District. As I purchased food and drove it over to Mary S, for her team to prep, I was having a conversation with Jesus in my car. Jesus had a plan and I was to take a Night Strike team and return a Night Strike presence in the Mission district of San Francisco. TONIGHT! In the evening, as the team leaders met up at our IN-N-Out Burger carpool location, it turns out that Mary S was the first to volunteer to be on the team to go out tonight. What Mary didn't realize was that I was given confirmation to GO tonight. Mary asked me if she needed anyone who spoke Spanish to go with me to the Mission. My eyes lit up and I...

My home away from home church is the Free Evangelic Church . It was one of those liberating Sundays for me to sneak out and go to the Oil Church, as it is informally known as, in San Francisco. Located in the Mission District neighborhood in the city, the church has an indiscriminate front which is easily missed when looking for the building. Today, I got to slip out with the Scooby gang, my sons Matt, and Joshua, and with us were Andrea and Devon and Luke. The Oil Church earned it's name by the manifestation of oil that occurs during church service. For the past 60 years or so, the Free Evangelical Church of San Francisco, gets regular visitations, by 650 angels during the gospel service.   Many long time attendees of the Free Evangelic have Bibles that looked like they were left out in the rain. The Night Strike crew had a great night on the streets in San Francisco. This is the recap from Friday April 12, 2013. We had the team from Santa Cruz School of the Supernatural with us on the streets. The SCSM is training leaders to take routes on the streets on Night Strikes. We had our team leaders on hand, Lisa, Diana, Sonja, Teresea, Bruce, Dennis (Jr.), Bobby, and Hollywood (Joseph). Along with them we had Dorothea, Charde, Mary and Tess. We had several teams on the streets in the Tenderloin of San Francisco. Nearly everyone came back at the end of the evening with a testimony of a really great encounter on the streets. I am going to reflect on some of the highlights I had while I was on the streets on Diana's team, we had Ken and Kim from SCSM, Charde (who was out on her first Night Strike), Booby, and Hollywood. When it comes to spiritual warfare and engaging demons the Church tends to be all over the map. From our ministry experience, we have seen time after time where the follower of Jesus is being attacked by a spiritual midget and they don't use their spiritual authority over the situation. Yet, the same individual is called to corporate prayer, they will go straight after a principality and bind them. We have witnessed this with intercessors too, who will bind the demonic kings in their corporate prayers and yet be the first person to run out the door in fear when a spiritual midget manifests in an oppressed person. For some reason we define our spiritual authority in being able to pick a fight with a demonic king. When we are oppressed we run with our tail between our legs screaming, “Help. We know the kingdom is full of sowers and harvesters, but many seldom consider the work of the plowers. In order for a seed to be planted the field must be plowed. Perhaps plowed many times before the soil is ready for the seed. Plowers bring encounters to people who are not even ready to consider anything spiritually or to those where following Jesus isn't even on their spiritual radar. The plower engages people where they are at in their lives. And seldom is the name Jesus mentioned during these encounters. For the harvesters this method of evangelism seems like complete insanity. How on earth can someone be led to Jesus without evening mentioning the name of Jesus? To some this may sound like a bit of heresy. Evangelism without using the name of Jesus ? Keep in mind just because the name of Jesus isn't mentioned in an encounter means the encounter is void of Jesus.
