Christmas: Theology of the Virgin Birth of Jesus

I have had the incredible opportunity this year to be a guest on several radio shows. I noticed a trend while doing these radio shows that most people were inquiring more about Jesus and His background than asking me about spiritual warfare questions. Was Jesus God incarnate? The quick answer is yes. And the long answer is I can write volumes on this theology. But if I do that I will put you to sleep, or I will lose you altogether. I had some one-on-one time with Jesus in my car, during my commute, about how to answer this question. Was Jesus God incarnate, or just a man?

As I had this commute conversation with Jesus (called mental prayer), the interior discussion led to wrapping my thoughts around the theology of the virgin birth of Jesus. Now hold on, We'll get through this! What I wanted was the shortest approach to answering if Jesus was God incarnate. Apparently, this was the answer I received during mental prayer. The Virgin Birth is the theology that the Holy Spirit was the divine method of Mary's pregnancy, and no human DNA from an earthly father.  The facts are in the Bible, I will point out a few to put you on the right trail to answer this question for yourself.

First of all, we must examine the history of man to arrive at the conclusion of the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. By this I mean we must return to the Garden of Eden, the cradle of creation. In the Garden of Eden, God created man, Adam, and His wife, Eve (Bible Study: Genesis 2). In the Garden of Eden, God provided everything for Adam and Eve, all they had to do was cultivate the food from the plants in the Garden. God commanded that Adam and Eve not eat from a tree in the center of the garden, the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil.

One day in the garden, Satan either possessed a creature called a serpent or appeared as the serpent. We don't know all the facts here. Either way, it was Satan who appeared to Eve and deceived her to eat from the forbidden tree and gain the forbidden knowledge of gods. She was deceived into lusting for this knowledge and power. She ate from the tree (Bible Study: Genesis 3). Her husband Adam then ate from the tree. Both now were in complete rebellion to God for disobeying His command not to eat from the tree. They committed sin. Sin is the deliberate and free will disobeying of God's commands. The devil didn't make them do it. They caved into their own lusts and went against the will of God. Up to this point in history, they were free of sin. This event marked the fall of man. When man sinned, he became cursed. There is a lot that happened in this curse. In Genesis 2, Adam held legal rule over the earth. This legal rule was in place as long as man obeyed God. When Adam and Eve sinned, they surrendered their legal dominion over to Satan. And from there on all mankind was subjugated to Satan. A spiritual, legal transaction happened here. God vowed to restore the legal rule and restore mankind by sending His seed, His offspring, to crush the head (legal rule) of Satan. However, all mankind is born under the curse from the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. This is called the curse of the original sin (Bible Study: Romans 5;12). It is what makes mankind's natural propensity to lean to do what is evil rather than what is right.

In order to crush Satan's head (headship, rule), the seed of the Heavenly Father would have to come with some legal bloodlines of kings.
15
15 And I will put enmity
     Between you and the woman,
     And between your seed and her seed ;
He shall bruise you on the head,
And you shall bruise him on the heel.”
Genesis 3:15 ( all references are NASB)

The bloodline was established through King David (Bible Study: Jeremiah 33:14-15).  Now we know from the Bible that Jesus' earthly father had the bloodline of King David's son, King Solomon, which carried the legal line of kings to the throne. Jesus' mother, Mary, was a descendant of King David's son, Nathan. Both Joseph (Luke 1:26) and Mary (Luke 3:23-28) were direct descendants of King David.

Now, why couldn't Joseph be the seed of Jesus? There are two reasons, and both are nasty curses. One, all mankind is born under the curse of original sin. Which means if Jesus father was Joseph, his bloodline at conception would be tainted with the curse of the original sin from the fall of the first Adam.

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 3:23

The seed of Jesus had to come from outside cursed DNA. And the only place to find pure DNA was from the creator Himself. Jesus' DNA had to come from elsewhere. That elsewhere is the Holy Spirit, the one who breathes life into existence. Second, there was another curse, by God, in Joseph's which forbid anyone from his bloodline to ever sit on the throne of David (Bible Study: Jeremiah 22:30). This canceled Joseph's bloodline from fathering kings. However, his bloodline possessed the spiritual headship for carrying on a line of kings. They just couldn't be from his own bloodline. A very interesting conundrum!

The only viable option for bypassing these two curses was for supernatural intervention. We know from Matthew that the conception of Jesus required the miracle from God, and the bloodline of kings from David.

20 But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.21 She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
Matthew  1:20-21

The Gospel of Matthew establishes that Joseph, with the title son of David, was of the direct Davidic lineage to the throne, from King Solomon. This is also established in the genealogy found in the beginning of Matthew 1. The conception of the child in Mary was through the miracle of the Holy Spirit. God became incarnate through the virgin Mary's womb. The miracle child, Jesus is the promise of God,

22 Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.” 24 And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife, 25 but kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name Jesus.
Matthew 1:22-25

God's  promise originates back to Genesis 3:15.

Keep in mind that Mary also carried the direct bloodline of King David, through David's son Nathan. But Mary's lineage did not carry the legal headship like Joseph's did. We also know that Mary was a righteous young woman, possibly 14-16 years of age. Her desire for God pre-ordained her for the mission she was about to be drafted in to. She also had to be an exemplary Old testament Saint. She was righteous in the eyes of God and a virgin.

30 The angel (Gabriel) said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; 33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.”
Luke 1:30-32

Mary was a virgin and favored in the eyes of the Lord. Joseph, too, was highly favored and righteous.  However, his blood line was tangled with spiritual legalities.  Joseph had two curses against him (original sin and direct curse on his bloodline), and Mary had one (original sin). Joseph couldn't be the earthly father because of his curses. Even if Joseph only had the original curse against him he still couldn't be the father of the redeemer. The redeemer had to have the DNA from outside of mankind (outside of the original curse from the Fall in the Garden of Eden). The bloodline of the first Adam was forever contaminated. Jesus was the second Adam, who bloodline was free from original sin. The Holy Spirit provided the seed into the righteous young woman.

34 Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I am a virgin?” 35 The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.
Luke 3:34-35

We know that the Holy Spirit breathes life into existence. Mary being a righteous woman submitted to God's will. We know full well the society backlash she perceived would fall upon her, and yet,

38 And Mary said, “Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
Luke 3:38

Mary submitted fully to the will of God.

The Holy Spirit has the power to resurrect the dead as well as has the power of all creation. It was in this manner that Jesus, the Redeemer ( a slave trade term meaning to purchase from a slave master) of man, was conceived and born in the womb of Mary. The headship of King David was passed on through Joseph, to his son Jesus Christ. The bloodline of David was passed on to Jesus through His mother, Mary. The prophecy was fulfilled. The second Adam, Jesus came to earth, to live the life that first Adam failed at (Bible Study: Romans 5:12-21). Jesus led a sinless, holy life, which was pre-destined for Him to go to the cross and defeat Satan. At the cross, Jesus crushed the headship and redeemed mankind. In order for Jesus to be the redeemer of mankind He had to come into this world as both God and man. Jesus Christ was the Son of God. A savior is born from the bloodline of kings. The King of kings.

This, in a nutshell, is the background to the theology of the Virgin Birth. You'll notice there is a lot more to this than what I presented. In fact, there are 66 books written on this subject matter. But I tried to condense it all down for you to see here. This is "lite" theology addition. I included Bible references in this on where to go back and read and study. I hope this helps you understand background to the virgin birth and what the theology behind it is. Jesus is the creator of the universe (Bible Study: John 1, Colossians 1:16).

Merry Christmas to All!!!

Connecting with God

As a Christian counselor in the San Francisco Bay area, I have the pleasure of working with people who survived childhood trauma.  In counseling sessions, we work on inner healing to help heal the part of the soul that was wounded or in more severe cases fractured into multiple identities in consciousness. During these sessions, Jesus Christ is the one who brings healing to the wounded soul. My job as a counselor and spiritual director is to work with these souls and identities connect with Jesus.

From these sessions, I have observed a growing trend where souls are not able to connect with the indwelling Jesus. Why I find this startling is because a lot of these souls are people I worked with at one point or another in evangelistic outreach ministries. This observation was curious to me that these souls could do prophetic ministry and yet not hear God for themselves. How is that these people could hear from God for others, but not connect with God at all on a very subtle level? In charismatic circles, that I frequent, I went through training like most of these people. I could connect with God before I entered into this training, so dialing in on hearing God was not an issue. As I lead outreaches, I started sifting out team members, because I came across the fake it until you make it ministers. A trend with the fake it until you make is that they're very big on sharing with you these over the top spiritual experiences with visions and the angelic, which you could discern were over glorified spiritual fishing stories. Not that I deny these happen, I am skeptical of the authenticity because of the source and the degree of exaggeration.

This realization started leading me full circle back to the counseling sessions. What was going on? Was the charismatic church abandoning the subtle connecting with God for interior spiritual development and seeking experiences instead? I also noticed that a few people I had worked with in Night Strike ministry, where we had witnessed first-hand supernatural healing on the streets with homeless, had backslided spiritually once they were away from the ministry. This was because there was nothing to feed their experience seeking nature. Seeking experiences is a bad foundation for your spirituality. Build your foundation on rock and not sand!

I was seeing another trend where those seeking supernatural experiences were incapable of fighting simple battles in their soul. And seeking out deliverance ministers for battles they should have fought and won easily. It wasn't just the charismatics, I worked with people who were stout disciples of staunch baptists where miracles died with the apostles. These souls had their bible verses ingrained, but were a literal walking punching bag to the enemy. I was dealing with two sides of the fence, the charismatic side that was afraid to admit they couldn't connect with God, and the doctrinal side that believed connecting with the unseen real God was very New Age.

I have witnessed first hand during a session teaching to connect with God where the training got derailed. In the session, we were to still our mind and listen for God. This class was  a simple exercise where a lot of new Christians got to learn how to enter into mental prayer with God. In the middle of the stillness, one of the women leaders starts having orgasms of ecstasy. This false ecstasy completely shut down the equipping session, and I felt bad for the new people trying to learn mental prayer. Their first experience of connecting with God was now misrepresented with a false and grotesque experience of ecstasy by the leader of the training session. --I bolted from the session and never returned. Those newbies in that session who may have truly connected to His peace probably believed that wasn't a real experience.

In counseling, I find myself undoing a lot of the false experiential doctrines now. In these sessions, I have also taken on the role of spiritual direction. One of the common problems I encounter in working with souls to connect with God is that they immediately slip into their spiritually conditioned teachings, where connecting with God is a profound experience with the Holy Spirit, seeing angels, or having a profound spiritual vision. These consistent experiences are not connecting with God. Rather they are a trained environmental response to what an experience should be like. I am not discounting the supernatural, it does happen, and it happens under the grace of God. What I am honing in on is the repitious experinces that people seek and invoke in these experience seeking settings.

It is from these experiences that people by pass the most important experience of all, the soul connecting with the indwelling Jesus. The soul must connect with Jesus for sanctification and the transforming union. The soul must connect with Jesus in spiritual warfare and to tear down strongholds. Connecting with Jesus is very sublime, and not an experience of ecstasy at all. It is very subtle, and these are not urges of the Holy Spirit I am talking about. This is simply connecting. Stilling the mind, and either meditating on scripture, or simply feeling the peace from the presence of the God who lives in you. This is where you develop you certainty with your soul that God will deliver you through tribulation. It is through these connections with Jesus that you find peace in the storm. It is practicing the presence of the unseen real God. Sometimes God is very quite and doesn't say anything to me. It's kind of like when a husband and a wife sit on a park bench at the beach. They may not say a word to each other, but still the event is relationally deep. The two are spending quite time with each other and just relishing in their moment together. That's a lot what connecting with God is like.

What I have observed through counseling is that the church is all over the map on this. And seems like there are a lot fewer who can connect with God than those who can. We have been chasing the experience and ignoring the bridegroom. In counseling, I work with people who have wounded souls and people with mutliple identities (dissociative identity disorder- D.I.D.). Those with D.I.D. who we took the time to develop an interior prayer life with started having deeper sessions in healing - because they knew how to connect with God. This took a lot of work and time in sessions. It wasn't something that happened miraculously. We just took baby steps and met Jesus exactly where the soul was at in these sessions. Above all, there was no expectations on how far along the soul should be in these sessions. It was all under the control of the indwelling Jesus. Bring Jesus' presence into the session also brings His healing.

When I work with people to learn to connect with God, I have them start with psalm 46:10. Meditate on that scripture. Still your mind and just relax. It is quiet, and you are on the road to learning to connect with Jesus. Be sure to tune into what you experience. God connects to each and every one of us in unique ways. Jesus is very gentle and peaceful. It takes time to build a relationship. Just make the time to connect with Him. Over time you will learn to constantly feel His presence, even though you may be having a bad day.  As you build the relationship you will learn to hear his voice and how he talks to you.

The question is, are you capable being in the presence of the unseen real God? Do you know how to get to Him?

Sowers Needed for Inner Healing Ministry

Following the Holy Spirit is always an adventure. He places dreams on your heart, and speaks to you in dreams when you sleep. I never fully knew where I was being taken in His plans when I was launched into spiritual warfare ministry back in 2008.

The Holy Spirit taught me supernatural ministry on the streets. I really enjoyed His one-on-one training. What I encountered on the streets of San Francisco was to later prepare me for the plans He had for me in ministry. Since that time the Holy Spirit has trained me in deliverance ministry and beyond. My heart was always for the street ministry, but I was needed elsewhere. The Holy Spirit had trained me in some very dark spiritual warfare, again it fell under the charter of M16 Ministries, helping those who had nowhere else to turn. Today, I am now working out of an office of In the Potter’s Hands Christian Counseling center as prayer minister for survivors of severe trauma and ritual abuse. M16 Ministries is still helping those who have nowhere else to turn. This now includes, adults who have survived their shattered childhood of sadistic rituals, the imagery is beyond the scope of what most Christians can fathom. Think of the most horrible and graphic Hollywood horror movie and that wouldn’t even compare to what these survivors endured. and the worst part of all this is that it was their own parents who were the perpetrators of terror.  The people whom we minister to are dealing with memories of past trauma, emotional, physical, sexual, and ritual abuse.  The people I minister with have many to hundreds of identities, call dissociative identity disorder. Some people had really bad childhoods, where at least one of their parents were alcoholics and abusive emotionally, physically, or both. Others are survivors of sex trafficking and child pornography rings, and of occult ritual abuse. The ministry has also expanded outside the office. The ministry has been working with people over skype too. Ministry sessions in the office and skype can be anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. Prayer ministry is significantly different from deliverance ministry. You still deal with a lot of spiritual warfare, but its darker and beyond the scope of low level demonic deliverance ministry.

As a prayer minister, I deal with the spiritual aspects of these individuals healing. Although their consciousness was fractured by the occult to make them ritual slaves, darkness did not win. Since I started back in 2012, I have ministered with many dissociative identity disorder trauma survivors to regain their life back and become integrated. In dealing with the occult, knowledge of warfare is required that doesn’t come from books, but from experience in the foxhole and directing large scale battles.

Currently, I am taking more and more cases, and I am shifting to nearly full time in ministry. I am working with men and women who have shattered lives and can’t work because of their fractured soul. Their identities keep switching, and until we integrate a lot of their parts (identities) it’s difficult for them to function on their own. We are seeing integration with survivors but the process is long term. Jesus walks them through their healing, and each individual is different, and healing takes as long as it takes. Jesus truly heals the brokenhearted and each day and each session is another miracle in healing.

As a call to action, the ministry needs sowers, people who will sponsor survivors for either a session, several sessions, intensive sessions, or just fully support the financial costs of a survivor for ministry. Why am I charging for sessions? The ministry and counseling has maxed out on our pro-bono sessions. We have more people who desperately need ministry then we can financially support. This is a life changing ministry that restores HOPE to the hopeless. We have people we are working with who need sponsors for their inner healing and restoration. Many of the people we work with who survived ritual abuse, and child pornography are being healed from mind control, programming, and multiple identities. For these people they are living a 7days-week x 24 hour-day x 52 weeks-year nightmare. We are seeing healing and we need your support. This summer is going to be very busy for us. And we would like for you to partner with us in ministering healing to our friends in deep need of inner healing and the peace from Jesus Christ.

Supernatural Ministry and Inner Healing

Supernatural Ministry and Inner Healing in SF

Many times in the church we ask God to take us out of our comfort zone.  If you want to step into supernatural ministry this is a must. A lot of times people don't comprehend what stepping out of your comfort zone means. People used to ask me to pray over them so they would have the impartation to go out on the streets to minister to the homeless. I noticed these people I prayed over never showed up to minster in the streets. What they needed was a Friday night couch impartation. So I quit praying over the people who asked me to be released into the streets. It was a waste of my time. I did notice that the people who showed up to minister on the streets were blessed immensely by their sacrifice. God would show them the supernatural. These were super special people operating in the supernatural who were just dependable and consistent. There is a nickels worth of free theology there.

I stopped Night Strike ministry back in August of 2015, not because I was burnt out, but because I was instructed to by the Holy Spirit. It was a difficult decision that I heard loud and clear from the Holy Spirit. I followed through in obedience. My nearly a decade of experience on the streets with the homeless gave me revelation on the true condition of the people on the streets. In a series of Holy Spirit dreams God instructed me on the next phase of ministry in San Francisco, healing severe inner trauma and fractured souls. This was the next spiritual and logical step in advancing the ministry on the streets.

Many people new to homeless ministry always ask me for information on where to send these people to church or where to send them to rehab. These are valid questions but they are from the perspective of the corporate church goer. It is good that they want to be a part of the solution. But they bring a solution without truly grasping what the problem is. Here's the answer what's the question? A common mistake.  You need to be out on the streets and participate with other ministry teams to get a grasp of what needs to be done to assist in this urban missions.

God worked on me as well and stretched me significantly from the moment I stepped out onto the streets. Who'd da thought that Mike back in 2007 was being raised up as an exorcist, and a counselor for an inner healing, as a pastoral care for the soul minister. I didn't see the pastoral thing coming. But I was stretched well beyond my comfort zone. Let me reprhase that, well, Well, WELL BEYOND my comfort zone. In doing so the Holy Spirit gave me revelation on what is going on with the majority of the homeless on the streets of San Francisco. Ever notice how the homeless  are argumentative and seem to argue with themselves? This is in some cases mental illness and in some cases dissociative identity disorder (DID) and PTSD. Mental illness, DID, and PTSD are not one in the same thing.  Mental illness is a disorder of the physical flesh. DID and PTSD are fracturing of the soul.

The Holy Spirit instructed me through dreams to shutdown Night Strike and go address the real problem with most of the homeless – long term inner healing from severe childhood trauma.

Night Strike didn't disappear and ministries doing this need to stay on the front lines of battle. I was instructed to move my resources to spearhead a new battle front. Talk about being taken out of your comfort zone! Obedience to God is everything even if it means financial collapse in your ministry funding. Yes. Our donations are down 90% now that Night Strike is shutdown. Although, Night Strike was only a small fraction of our ministry. We were unable to fund our outreaches to the New Age this year. Where were seeing people encounter Jesus and accept Him as Lord and Savior through process evangelism.

But the front lines I am now at I am not worried. It can be spiritually exhilarating and constant supplication in prayer for finances.  But what is being built now through M16 Ministries and In the Potter’s Hands counseling is worth the intense warfare and sacrifices! What price can you place on a soul? We have one individual we are working with who now has been drug free from meth for over 4 weeks. He has been receiving prayer ministry for inner healing from  his life long battle of severe trauma from childhood abuse. A child part that wanted to remain numb for his horrific pain started receiving healing from Jesus.

It's slow but we’re seeing the fruits of the labor. Why is it so slow? Many Christians think that severe trauma can be healed in one prayer session or a couple of sozos. Ministering to a person with dissociation is a completely different form of prayer ministry.  Jesus woes each individual fractured part of the soul and walks them out of their trauma. Long term ministry and Jesus does the inner healing at his pace.

The other difficulty is that this ministry is not for everyone. I am speaking about the ministers. A minister must know how to pray and defend themselves from attacks of the occult. This goes above and beyond the skill sets of about 90% of the deliverance minsters out there. In this ministry some severe trauma has come about by ritual abuse as well.

This ministry is also a long term commitment in the magnitude of years. I had already been working with SRA, cult, and Freemason abuse survivors for several years before God reassigned me. So I knew when I received instructions to do this it was a long term commitment. Very very very few people can commit to this. The church body is fickle especially when it comes to commitment. There are only a few at the moment I trust to bring into this. A lot labor going into this but people in churches who are SRA or trauma survivors  are starting to get connected. I am very protective about who we minister to as well.

This is the same work we’re praying to bring to Cambodia (see Hope for Trauma Healing in Cambodia and   Accomplishments: Hope for Trauma Healing in Cambodia Mission Trip 2015) and work with rescued survivors from trafficking. When I was over in Cambodia last November, there wasn't any form of restoration or inner healing ministries over there. I held an equipping seminar on inner healing that was widely received.  I plan to get out there once a quarter to work with orphanages and eqiup NGOs.

Just wanted to give a shout out that M16 Ministries is still on the streets. And we're still at the forefront of the battles. Sometimes where the corporate church body goes is not the same place the Holy Spirit will send you. Always be obedient to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

At this time I could really use prayer and financial partnering. The prayer is the most important because through that true break through comes. And we're really deep in the warfare at the moment.

Please also pray for full healing with the people we are ministering with. We are seeing the fruits of our labor as healing comes. Each session is another miracle as God heals the brokenhearted.

It's been a fun journey and I have made some incredible new friends along the way. I can't really say I am street minister anymore. Rather I am a mass transit minister. I leave the car behind and ride the rails with BART and trolley cars. Thanks to a close friend of mine from Night Strike I am also learning the bus routes. So I guess you could say we're also a green ministry. :)

Blessings

Cultural Relevance of Sexual Immorality and Iniquity

While I was doing time on my spin cycle this morning a thought hit me about sexual immorality and how it is affecting the church body at large. Somehow this information in my head was just swirling around as I peddled this morning. So why was I pondering the mysteries of the universe and what’s this about sexual immorality? Was my head in the gutter? Let me rewind here a bit and bring you up to speed.

I have been working the past couple of days on a writing project that required me to research and write a chapter on biblical sin. When you start to study the scripture on sin you see some common terminology of God’s law surface. These words are sin, transgressions, and iniquities. As a scriptural example, let’s look at psalm 51.

Psalm 51:1-2 -1 Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your loving kindness;
According to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity
And cleanse me from my sin.

King David broke out each of these words in his psalm. Why couldn’t he have simply used the word sin in each line? The answer is the words carry different weights in the Mosaic law. A sin is a thought that originates in the soul and is an offense against God. As James writes, a sin is conceived and then it is given birth, metaphorically,

James 1:14-15-14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

A sin is a thought contrary to the will of God that you carry out. A transgression is a sin that goes against the law of God. In 1 Samuel King Saul was in violation of the Mosaic law, Deuteronomy 10:10-11, when he sought out a psychic medium and summoned the spirit of Samuel back from the underworld of death.

Deuteronomy 18:10-11 - 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.

God specifically stated in His laws that speaking and conjuring the dead was forbidden. When King Saul crossed the line of the law of God he committed a transgression.

1 Chronicles 10:13 - 13 So Saul died for his trespass (transgression-KJV) which he committed against the Lord, because of the word of the Lord which he did not keep; and also because he asked counsel of a medium (one that had a familiar spirit-KJV), making inquiry of it,

An iniquity is an un-repented sin, that is carried out repeatedly, usually requires planning and scheming, and most of all is worthy of God’s punishment. The book of Micah reveals,

Micah 2:1 - 1Woe to those who scheme iniquity,
Who work out evil on their beds!
When morning comes, they do it,
For it is in the power of their hands.

When Eli’s sons defiled the sacrifice and took the best portions for themselves, with complete disregard to God and the law, they committed iniquities. They never repented of their offenses towards God. Eli knew of the wickedness of his sons and did nothing. An iniquity is worthy of God’s punishment (not man’s).

1 Samuel 3:13-14 - 13 For I have told him that I am about to judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knew, because his sons brought a curse on themselves and he did not rebuke them. 14 Therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever.”

God forever cursed the house (bloodline) of Eli for their ungodly behaviors and lack of respect for the God Almighty. In 2 Samuel 11,12, we see King David’s iniquities and judgment from God. King David’s sin was that he lusted after married woman, Bathsheba, which is a transgression against the 10 commandments. He schemed to murder Uriah, Bathsheba’s husband, and then sent him to die on the front lines of battle. King David almost got away with it. His un-repented sins were now iniquities that were like heavy chains on his soul. God spoke through the prophet Nathan and confronted King David with his iniquitous ways. The punishment from God was severe. King David lost his son born in the unholy union of the flesh.

That should cover a quick refresher on the terms were using, sin, transgressions, and iniquities. Now I am going to turn this boat into the storm and discuss a culturally relevant subject in churches. That is sexual immorality in the church.

I think Francis Chan did an excellent job in covering this topic. There is a great sermon on youtube Francis did back in the summer of 2015. This will bring you up to speed on the topic of sin and homosexuality.

I am going to go one step further and discuss homosexuality and iniquity in the church. I think Francis Chan made things perfectly clear sex outside the union of marriage is a sin. However, a sinner working on their sanctification is welcomed in the church. We have seen all sorts of sexual sin in the bible and how it was handled by the sinner. The boundaries of God's sexual morality can be found in Leviticus 18.

King David was an adulterer. His sin led to plotting and killing the husband of his mistress, Bathsheba. This un-repented sin of King David’s became an iniquity and worthy of God’s punishment.

I am going to speak to the people in the church, those who are saved and are spiritually grafted to the tree of life. A sin is an offense against God. A sin of sexuality includes, adultery, pornography, pedophilia, sex with prostitutes, sex parties, casual sex outside of biblical union, homosexuality, and the list goes on (again Leviticus 18). All of these are an offense towards God. Pastors, clergy, parishioners, the church body, we are all affected by the fallen nature of the original sin.

When you are saved, and you are committing these transgressions, you receive convictions from deep inside of you from the Holy Spirit to repent and change your ways. There can be a horrible struggle here but your will is in a spiritual battle to conform to the will of the indwelling Holy Spirit to walk out of this sinful nature.

I have worked some with churches in my area where the congregation are largely homosexual. The key here is they are working hard in their spiritual life to walk out of this sin. It this their own personal choice and their faith to no longer offend God. They are working with the indwelling Holy Spirit on their own personal basis in their deepening relationship with Jesus Christ. This is a soul that is grafted to the tree of life.

A soul that picks and chooses what scripture it wants to believe is choosing to listen to thoughts that originate from original sin, the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It is possible that this soul is not even grafted to the tree of life and the spirit is not quickened. Read between the lines there. When your soul blatantly disregards the convictions of the Holy Spirit and you continue to sin, with no change in heart, you have stepped over the fence into iniquity. And an iniquity is worthy of God’s punishment. Here is the problem the media complex doesn’t understand about Christianity. The church can never hold marriages based on lawlessness on sacred grounds because it is in violation of the laws of God. A church that allows this in has committed a transgression. God pulls back. Some churches confuse the income increasing in the collection plate as a blessing from God. See we hold gay marriages and we’re getting more offerings. This is offerings from man and not God. When the church transgressions become an iniquity, God will judge the church that performs unbiblical unions.

We are changing our laws nationally too in regards to civil union. An iniquity can engross a nation too. Israel was plagued by sexual immorality during the time of Jeremiah. Israel removed God and his laws and became lawless. The Israelites were having a grand time with their open sexuality and sex at temples. Then God used his instrument, kings of other nations, and enslaved Israel for 70 years in Babylon. There are consequences for our actions, especially, for sin, transgression, and iniquity. Our nation has been lying to itself, especially from within the walls of the church, that there are no consequences for our actions. We have raised a generation of kids believing everything is for free and there are no consequences. This is lawlessness and it’s in the church. The church must address the iniquity within her own walls and repent from it.

Christian Occult Ritual Survivors and Easter

As many churches prepare for to celebrate Easter Sunday, and families stay home and dye eggs, there is a small team of intercessors who will pray through the night to protect survivors of the occult. You see, despite the portrayal of Satanists being atheists, they are actually very aware of the truth behind Jesus Christ and horrifically mock all the Christian holidays with ritual blood sacrifices. Many people want to turn their head and welcome plurality with freedom of religion. But the documented truth is that Satanists are diabolically evil.

There are famous murder cases that mark the activity of Satanists on Christian holidays. They especially despise Easter. It marks the historical defeat of Satan and starts a timeline for his judgment. Now to cite historically what Satanists do on Easter there is this classic from the 1980s, where a Catholic nun, Sister Margaret Ann Pahl, a 71 year old woman was brutally sacrificed in Mercy hospital's chapel. The man who presided over Sister Margaret’s funeral, Father Robinson, was also the same man who ritually raped and murdered her. Sister Margaret was stabbed 19 times in the chest with the wounds forming an inverted cross. Father Robinson almost got away with murder, but a woman from his dioceses surfaced who testified that Father Robinson consistently raped her in rituals as a child. This testimony brought the case to trial and Father Robinson was convicted of the horrific crime.

I don’t bring this case to light to put point a finger at the Catholic church. I work with amazing Catholics in spiritual warfare. So let's leave the nasty Protestant vs. Catholic debate to rest here. My objective is to point the finger at the occult and how this sort of thing goes on everywhere! I live in a high tech suburbia and I am working nearly a half dozen cases consistently and the dance card for our team is beginning to fill up. I work with survivors of ritual abuse, these are adults from 20 years old on up to the oldest I worked with was 71 years old. All of these individuals had their lives stolen from them from participants in Satanism. A satanic ritual survivor is someone, who was either born into a family in Satanism, or was abducted by a family member or a trusted neighbor. The Satanist wins  trust of the parent of the child and "borrows" your child for a short duration of time, or even takes them on a family trip, where they are brutally raped and tortured in rituals. The activity is so disgusting and intense, the young child’s mind can’t cope with all the trauma and the soul splits into new identities. This is trauma beyond your imagination. This is pure evil. Can you imagine a child being buried alive in feces? This is the sort of trauma that fractures the mind of the child. This is done on purpose by the Satanist in the ritual. You ever wonder why the controversial Satanic statue of the Baphomet, for Oklahoma City had two children in it?

Satanist programs the splintered parts of the soul into ritual behaviors. The Satanist also programs the child into states of fear called double-binds so the child will never reveal to the authorities or their parents what is really going on with them. After some time, these multiple identities form an internal conglomerate in their fractured soul, called a system. Because the minds are splintered between 0 to 8 years old of age, you can have grown up adult presenters, who are in mature bodies, hold down corporate jobs, but have the mindset of a 4 or 8 year old or a teenager. Trapped in time from when they were originally fractured.

When the child finally escapes the system, usually by growing up, their system of multiple occult identities are not shut down. Many of these survivors are very strong and brave Christian adults and come to the church seeking help. The survivors I am working with are saved, yet are living a daily nightmare. These are incredibly brave and faithful Christians who persevere into their healing of their systems through Jesus Christ. I have the privilege to work with these incredible people as their prayer minister. These are the most amazing Christian and faithful people you have ever met.

Now what’s this got to do with Easter. As I work with these individuals in prayer ministry, we partner with the work of Jesus to shut down the system and free trapped identities to get healed. The occult spirits try to call out to the fractured unhealed parts. Right when Lent starts our warfare usually starts. The warfare intensifies up to Easter, the demons hate Easter. It reflects the day they were defeated. I hope the article I cited from the New York times about Sister Margaret gives you an idea about the intensity of the occult demons being summoned on these holidays during rituals. The work done in this ministry is complex and beyond the scope of normal deliverance ministry. It is a long term commitment of intercession and working with these individuals. Spiritual warfare is beyond the scope of the church, and for this reason my ministry had to move it outside the walls of the church. This sounds odd, but there were sound reasons for this. In our level of warfare, we were afraid of attacks get past us and inflicting church intercessors who weren’t at that level of warfare. Or for that matter weren’t called into this level of warfare. Many aren’t. This isn’t the next level of deliverance this is the Navy Seals of warfare. Special forces. We don’t go looking for a fight, but when the occult shows up at our door step, we must deal with it. There are no books out there on this warfare. It’s the Holy Spirit who teaches you and protects you. And it’s the Holy Spirit who orchestrates the ministry teams that are built and inter-connected.

This is a supernatural ministry, which I am thankful God allows me to participate with Him in. For me this past couple of weeks were chalked with power encounters, and Jesus demonstrating His incredible love for the fractured parts He is wooing and rescuing. These battles are long, and it’s hard for the individuals we work with to celebrate the historical moment when Christ has risen. It’s usually a one day at a time ministry and we help get the individual under the intense assault through the season. But in the end, these people always pull through. This is literally a transformation from glory to glory ministry with lots of warfare – and few days off. The ministry is a commitment of time and an investment of personal ministry into these individuals. Shutting down the system is a long journey but it does get shut down and all the internal parts that were fractured get re-aligned back into the soul for a full healing.

This ministry is difficult to describe all the dynamics and what is involved in the healing process. Just a hectic season for us. And tax accountants thought they had it rough. We get a slight reprieve and then it starts all over again from Halloween through Christmas.

As you celebrate Easter say an extra prayer for the occult survivors, the ones who are walking out their trauma with Jesus at their side. They love Jesus immensely but are under a tremendous amount of attacks this time of the year as Satan throws his temper tantrum and is reminded he brutally lost the war.

For those of you who have been wondering what I have been doing since Night Strike was shut down – this is the ministry. This ministry actually started long before the Holy Spirit asked me about a ministry change through a series of dreams. This intense ministry was operating in parallel with Night Strike since late 2011. I started seeing this same torment in the people I worked with on the streets and God showed me it was time for a deeper ministry in inner healing. During this time, Toni Taigen of In the Potter’s Hands Christian counseling has graciously allowed me to use her office space for ministry when I have needed it. The ministry is growing and I have been partnering a lot with Toni Taigen in inner healing ministry in severe trauma. I also work with adults who were sex trafficked as children who also exhibit this dissociative identity disorder (DID) behavior. I am working with a ministry team in Cambodia to work with children in orphanages who are DID and need the help the rescue NGOs are not providing.

I just wanted to give a shout out and let my friends know what I am doing and what I have been up to. I still go to the city and minister, but now it’s during the day and I minister to people with fractured souls. This ministry could really use financially support. I am working full time in this ministry with very little financial backing. Every cent helps. Please help us to help those who are beyond the aid of the institutional church. There is help for these people. We’re here. We just need to keep the lights on and pay our bills.

Blessings

Rev. Mike

A CRASH COURSE

On Saturday, March 5, at the Bay Area Sunday School Convention (2016),  M16 Ministries and In the Potter's Hands Christian Counseling put on a crash course in working with survivors of the occult (ritual abuse) and severe trauma. Toni Taigen of In the Potter's Hands, and myself, usually have a 2 hour presentation each on the subject matter, and that's barely the tip of the ice berg. AT B.A.S.S., we each spoke for about 15 minutes to drive the point home on the topic. And afterwards we had a 45 minute Q & A Session.

In this section I am going to make the basic introductions and open with the objectives of the discussion for this training session.

In the next installment I will present in Part II of the session we gave on healing the severely traumatized. In this video, Toni Taigen of In the Potter's Hands introduces topics in trauma and  Dissociative Identity Disorder (D.I.D.).

Again, this is a crash course session training. This is Part 1 of 4.

Part IV - Questions and Answers from the Session

As I mention in the video, this is the shift that M16 Ministries (501c3) has moved into ever since shutting down our Night Strike ministry last August (2015). Many people thought we closed our ministry, we didn't. 90% of our donations stopped coming in when Night Strike stopped. Just to let you know we're not about the money but about the ministry. God shifted us into deeper inner healing that is too dark for a majority of the church body to deal with. And you will understand this as you see the sessions we videoed here. We seem to be traveling quite a bit now and we REALLY need financial blessing. The ministry is also taking us as far as Cambodia where we are establishing working with teen girls recovering from severe trauma of the Cambodia child sex trafficking.
