9 “When you enter the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. 12 For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord; and because of these detestable things the Lord your God will drive them out before you. 13 You shall be blameless before the Lord your God. 14 For those nations, which you shall dispossess, listen to those who practice witchcraft and to diviners, but as for you, the Lord your God has not allowed you to do so.

 Not everyone in the OT was a prophet. It was a special position assigned by God.
15 “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your countrymen, you shall listen to him. 16 This is according to all that you asked of the Lord your God in Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, let me not see this great fire anymore, or I will die.’ 17 The Lord said to me, ‘They have spoken well. 18 I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. 19 It shall come about that whoever will not listen to My words which he shall speak in My name, I Myself will require it of him. 20 But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ 21 You may say in your heart, ‘How will we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?’ 22 When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

Sunday Service at the Oil Church in San Francisco

My home away from home church is the Free Evangelic Church . It was one of those liberating Sundays for me to sneak out and go to the Oil Church, as it is informally known as, in San Francisco. Located in the Mission District neighborhood in the city, the church has an indiscriminate front which is easily missed when looking for the building. Today, I got to slip out with the Scooby gang, my sons Matt, and Joshua, and with us were Andrea and Devon and Luke. The Oil Church earned it's name by the manifestation of oil that occurs during church service. For the past 60 years or so, the Free Evangelical Church of San Francisco, gets regular visitations, by 650 angels during the gospel service.   Many long time attendees of the Free Evangelic have Bibles that looked like they were left out in the rain. Curse Breaking Freemasonry and Daughters of the Eastern Star

Probably the two most controversial spirits walking into our churches and placing strongholds on the church body are Freemasonry and yoga. I will discuss yoga manifestations in a future blog. Now before you roll your eyes and point me to a let us reason Christian web site I should disclose the following bit of information. For decades I was spiritually asleep in the church pews. I did church rather well and I loved Jesus. I just wasn't in a deep relationship with my Lord and saviour and creator. Demonic Obsession - Torment in the Church

I wrote in the Field Guide to Spiritual Warfare , how the Holy Spirit would have me in different seasons of learning. One season was on the streets, where people would walk up to me and have the spirits oppressing them identify themselves. We had this experience recently, on the streets, we were training seminary students in street ministry. The seminary students were able to approach one individual, but a ministry friend of mine, Katie, and myself, were growled at by this person and his spirits told us to stay away from him. The spirits in this individual could see our authority in Christ. It’s good to see it’s not just me, but the Holy Spirit is raising up our friend Katie too. The Holy Spirit will lead you through seasons to reveal the supernatural to you. And many times in this season the Holy Spirit will break you -to make you usable in the new area He is training you in.
